The Toyota Clevis Steering Upgrade is a requirement to achieve maximum suspension droop for our Toyota XLT kits. It features a FK Bearing 3/4″ left-hand thread heims with jam nuts. We machine custom rack bolts which bolt the 17-4 Stainless Steel Clevis to the rack and pinion. The 1/2″ Grade 8 hardware connect to the inner 3/4 heim joint, and 5/8″ Grade 8 hardware connect the outer heim joints to the spindle. The Tie Rods are Machined from a solid piece of 17-4 Stainless Steel.
We now offer Stock Length Tie Rods for all Toyota Mid-Travel kits. If using a stock Toyota spindle, the spindle will need to be double sheared for a 5/8″ bolt.
We also offer a heimed clevis steering upgrade when doing a 1″ Lower Uniball Conversion with Solo Motorsports Fully-Fabricated spindles.
