RC Fabrication is excited to offer the best fully greasable LCA bolts on the market! RC Fab’s greasable bolts are machined in-house using high quality Grade 8 hardware. Using greasable LCA bolts is a fail proof way to ensure better performance, easier maintenance, and higher longevity of your off road vehicle! These bolts are also properly shanked by KPOffroad which helps increase strength and allows flipping the bolt around next to the steering rack on 3rd gen 4Runners and 1st gen Tacomas for easier removal and maintenance.

These bolts are currently compatible with the following vehicles:

  • 3rd Gen 4Runner
  • 1st Gen Tacoma

Our top 5 reasons for running greasable lower control arm bolts:

  1. Reduced Friction and Wear: RC Fab’s greasable lower control arm bolts are equipped with greasezert fittings which allow you to apply lubrication directly in to the bolts, reducing friction and wear of the lower control arm bushings. This can help prevent premature wear and extend their lifespan.
  2. Improved Ride Quality: Properly lubricated control arm bishings can enhance your vehicle’s ride quality by ensuring smooth movement of suspension components. This can lead to a more comfortable and controlled driving experience, especially on rough or uneven terrain.
  3. Easier Maintenance: Greasable bolts allow you to conveniently apply lubrication to the control arm bushings during your routine maintenance. This helps prevent corrosion, rust, and buildup of debris, which can lead to seized bolts and other difficulties during future repairs or replacements.
  4. Cost Savings: While greasable lower control arm bolts may have a higher upfront cost compared to non-greasable bolts, the potential for extended component lifespan can result in long-term cost savings. You may avoid more frequent replacements of control arm bushings and associated labor costs.
  5. DIY-Friendly: Installing and greasing these control arm bolts is a relatively straightforward task that can often be done by anyone!

Installation:

VIDEO COMING SOON!!

Prerequisites:

  • Your vehicle must have after market control arm bushings which use a separate sleeve. OEM style bushings will not work with these bolts.
  • Your vehicle must have an after-market alignment kit. Gresable bolts will not work with OEM alignment cams. Check out this kit if you do not have one already!

Steps:

  • Step 1:
    • Mark your current alignment with a paint marker.
    • Note: Though your current alignment will be close, if you will be installing new bushings it is recommended to have your vehicle professionally aligned after installation.
  • Step 2:
  • Step 3:
    • If you do not currently have sleeve-style LCA bushings, go ahead and install those in the LCA now. Again there are many great guides online for removing your factory ones.
  • Step 4:
    • IMPORTANT!! Drill holes in your LCA bushing. 4×3/16″ holes should be plenty. This will ensure the grease gets to the outside of the sleeve and coats the inside of bushing.
  • Step 5:
    • Install your LCA using the greasable bolts and your alignment kit. DO NOT TORQUE THE NUTS AT THIS TIME
  • Step 6:
    • Install the Greasezerts and rubber caps in to your bolts.
  • Step 7:
    • Grease your bolts using the proper grease for your bushings. Continue adding grease until it just starts to seep out around the bushing.
  • Step 8:
    • Torque your LCA bolts to the factory specification. Clean excess grease from the LCA.
  • Step 9:
    • Cap your greasezerts and take your truck to your favorite alignment shop!

Maintenance:

To ensure longevity of youe LCA bushings we recommend greasing your bolts at regular intervals. To grease your bolts simply loosen the LCA nut and add grease until it starts to seep out around the bushing. Re-torque your bolts, clean the excess grease, and call it a day!
